Hi, I'm Linda - Your Storyteller with a Camera

PERRY HALL AND BEYOND

As a portrait photographer based in Perry Hall, Maryland, I specialize in creating refined, natural portraits of children and families.

I’m especially drawn to the in-between moments—the thoughtful expressions, the quiet confidence, the personality that often goes unnoticed in a quick snapshot.

My approach blends gentle guidance with an eye for detail, so your images feel both polished and deeply personal.

Kind Words from Clients

"Linda was lovely to work with and our photos turned out so beautiful!" ~K.S.

Parents and three teenage girls with mom playing with black dog

"Linda, from start to finish was wonderful to work with. We were in need of new family photos and wanted them done at our home with our dog. Linda takes the time to meet with you beforehand to go over all the details as far as locations to shoot, recommendations on what colors to wear and even where the photos will be placed after the shoot. Linda is the perfect photographer if you are looking for more than a photo - it is a piece of art to be displayed."

Choosing to invest in portraits is a meaningful decision—one that lives alongside many other priorities.

But while many things we purchase fade over time, custom portraits grow more valuable with each passing year.

They become part of your home, your story, and your family’s history.

Each selected image is carefully refined through my signature editing process, bringing out the depth, tone, and artistry that transforms a photograph into something truly lasting.  I use only the best professional labs to produce your artwork.

Your session is just the beginning.

The images we create together are meant to live beyond the screen—displayed in your home, held in your hands, and revisited for years to come.

Some families prefer to select their artwork piece by piece, while others want a more guided approach that allows them to enjoy their images more fully from the start.

For that reason, I offer both individually selected artwork and a small number of thoughtfully designed collections.

Most families choose a collection for the simplicity, the value, and the ability to begin envisioning their finished artwork from the very beginning.

Your Questions Answered

What types of photography services do you offer?

My photography style includes posed and lifestyle portraits, depending on your vision and how you intend to display the images.

Generally, I specialize in capturing meaningful moments and creating stunning visual stories. If you like, I do enjoy adding a painterly style to portraits, especially themed sessions with little ones.

How do I book a photography session with you?

Booking a photography session is easy. Simply reach out to me through the contact form on my website. In a brief phone call, we will discuss your requirements, and set up a time for an in-person consultation and your session.

What should we wear for the photo session?

During our in-person consultation, we’ll collaborate on a color palette that complements the season, setting, and your home’s décor—especially if you’re planning to display your portraits as wall art or in an album. I’ll guide you through the entire wardrobe planning process, taking this task off your plate so you can feel confident, prepared, and excited for your session.

How long does a typical photo session last?

The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and scope of the project. Family portrait sessions typically range from 1-1.5 hours, while children's sessions are typically shorter due to accommodate the shorter attention span of each age. I strive to provide ample time to capture all the important moments and ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.

What if my child isn't in the mood for photos?

It's completely normal for children to feel unsure, especially when meeting someone new with a big camera! That’s why I offer a pre-session consultation where I can meet your child in a relaxed setting—this way, I’m a familiar, friendly face by the time we start the session. During the shoot, I’ll gently ease your child into the environment, allowing them time to explore and get comfortable before I ever lift the camera. Sometimes, inviting them to peek through my lens or even take a photo themselves gives them a sense of fun and control, which can work wonders. With years of experience (and two toddler grandkids of my own!), I understand how to meet each child where they are—and capture their true spirit, even if it takes a little patience.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?

If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of an outdoor shoot, we can discuss alternatives such as rescheduling the session or finding an indoor location. I want to ensure the best possible outcome for your photos, and I'm flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances.

How will you show us our photos?

Your images will be shown to you (lightly edited) during our in-person sales session. During this meeting, I will help you cull the images down to just those that you love.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

We understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos. After our in-person sales session, my editing process typically takes 1-2 weeks, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required. I prioritize quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations. Once the photos are edited, the time it takes for the lab to print will depend on your choices of prints, wall art or albums. Your digitals will be delivered via online gallery as soon as the final edits are complete.

Will I receive print rights?

Yes, for every image that you purchase (wall art, print, in an album), you will receive the associated high-resolution digital file.

May we include our dogs and cats?

Your pets are part of your family. I am happy to include them. Of course, we have to ensure the safety of everyone. At public parks, for instance, all pets must remain leashed.

Will my photos be "Photoshopped?"

One of the bonuses of hiring me to photograph you is that I will tastefully edit your images, including removing blemishes, stray hairs, clothing lint, scene distractions. If there are specific areas that you would like me to edit, I can usually work some "magic" that still leaves you looking like "you."
